If you are considering a career in the building industry, the New Life Construction Training Program can be the right program for you!
- Earn college credits while learning a skill trade
- At the end of the course you will receive a Construction Technology Certificate of Achievement and learn how to build and/or rehabilitate residential structures
- Receive classroom and on-the-job training in residential construction
- Financial aid is available for qualified applicants
- Receive job-readiness assistance and job placement opportunities through NLCTP's employment program
- Help improve your neighborhood and community by participating in community improvement service projects
NLCT is free of charge!
We offer a 16-week classroom and work-experience program. To find out when registration and classes start, please see our calendar.
An additional 90 days of pre-employment and employment placement assistance is available. NLCTP will provide everything you need to enroll and complete the training program and help find employment opportunities.

You must agree to:
- Attend required classes and training activities regularly
- Be drug and alcohol free — drug testing will be in effect!
- Be motivated and display eagerness to learn
- Be able to get along with peers, follow rules, and accept supervision
- Be physically able to engage in construction activities
